Patrick Plummer received his B.A. in Psychology and African-American studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to receive his doctorate in Experimental Psychology at the University of California, San Diego working under Professor Keith Rayner. Patrick’s research examines the cognitive mechanisms underlying language comprehension using behavioral measures and computational approaches. His current work aims to investigate the influence of linguistic context on word identification, sentence processing, and various aspects of eye movement control during reading. He is also interested the development of literacy and linguistic proficiency.
