Motoyuki Saito received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan. His dissertation examines the psychological validity of causal Bayes nets.

At the UCLA Reasoning Lab, he works with Dr. Cheng to investigate causal learning and inference from both behavioral and computational perspectives.

His current work aims to investigate how people estimate effect sizes.
