Jeffrey K. Bye, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Patricia Cheng at the UCLA Reasoning Lab. His research takes a cognitive science approach to developing new ways of teaching math (especially algebra), as well as understanding causal inference in everyday and scientific realms. Jeff received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from UCLA in 2016, with a specialization in Computational Cognition; and his B.A. in Cognitive Science from Pomona College in 2009, with a subconcentration in Computer Science and minor in Philosophy.
